JLP Main Features
The JLP is open 24/7 giving you access to sign up for events where you want to judge, table captain, or volunteer. Log in or Create a JLP Account to get started!
At a glance you always know exactly where you stand on an event's list thus allowing you to make travel plans in a timely manner. You can also edit and delete events, and download needed information about the events you have signed up to judge, table captain, or volunteer.
Locking In to an event in the JLP is just like boarding an airplane; it's done in groups. The JLP allows the first group to begin Locking In sixty days prior to the event. The next group is allowed to Lock In forty-five days prior to the event. And the last group is allowed to Lock In thirty days prior to the event. By locking in you are committing yourself to be at the event, on time, and ready to judge, table captain, or volunteer.
Did You Know?
Volunteer can now be selected as a Preference.
If you select Volunteer as your Preference you'll be allowed to Lock In immediately. Volunteer spots can't be held so if you don't Lock In and others do you'll lose your spot. Discourteous Judge Points apply to the Volunteer Preference the same as they do to the Judge, Table Captain, and Either Preferences.
Volunteer spots are only available if the event has indicated a desire to have volunteers and until all spots have been Locked In.
Note that a Volunteer, as defined by the JLP, is a CBJ looking to get a signature by working the turn-in table, left-over table, possibly even Table Captain or Judge, basically do whatever is needed as directed by a KCBS Rep.
